We commit to restorative dental care; we offer patients options for repairing damaged teeth or restoring missing teeth. These options are crowns and bridges. These treatments are essential if the patients want to enhance dental function while also improving his or her appearance that leads to greater self-confidence.

If these problems are left unaddressed, this can lead to other consequences such as improper bite. This also results in adverse effects on speaking and chewing. Other serious consequences are weakening of the gum and teeth and shrinking of the jawbone. Eventually, this will impact facial expression. We aim at giving our patients a new set of fully functional and aesthetically appealing teeth.

Crowns

Crowns are usually attached to a dental bridge found on the side or sides of a missing tooth. Crowns may be also attached to an implant permanently. Crowns, since its goal is to mimic the natural shape and color of the teeth, are often made using glass, porcelain or zirconium materials. We also provide E-max crowns. Crowns are preferred when the teeth are already weak and need added strength. They are also used in replacing a missing tooth or teeth on the upper or lower arch.

Bridges

Bridges have metal bases that will be bonded with another material like porcelain to act as anchorage teeth replacement. Bridges are appropriate for people who need to replace a tooth or two and who have tooth gaps in just one side of the mouth.

Crowns or Bridges?

Gaps in our teeth generally weaken the dental structure. Such a situation further promotes bone and tooth loss. Other problems such as gingivitis may eventually exist when our gum tissues get irritated and inflamed. Damaged teeth increase the risk of decaying teeth, which also leads to gum diseases. Replacement teeth like crowns and bridges are thus necessary in restoring teeth and improving bite.

Our dentists will have to assess the patients individually prior to devising a plan to improve the person’s overall oral health. Suitable treatment options will be discussed with the patient afterwards. Sometimes, artificial replacement tooth or teeth are required. They feel like natural teeth so there is no need to worry.
